More than N6bn has been paid to 123,314 vulnerable households across the state under the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, Lagos State Government disclosed.

This is as authorities intensify efforts to strengthen implementation and expand support for low-income residents.

The disclosure was made during a quarterly review meeting organised by the State Cash Transfer Unit under the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment at the Management Resource Centre in Alausa, Ikeja.

The session brought together facilitators and programme officials from the 20 local government areas of the state to evaluate performance, address operational challenges and improve service delivery mechanisms tied to the federal-backed social intervention initiative.

Speaking at the meeting, the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, said the programme had become a critical support system for vulnerable families across Lagos.
