Vietnam’s Danang Asian Film Festival will debut a two-day industry program, DANAFF Industry Days, at its fourth edition this June, bringing together 10 Vietnamese production companies and invited international buyers for slate presentations and one-to-one business meetings.
Scheduled for June 30 and July 1 – midway through the June 28–July 4 festival in Da Nang – the program builds on DANAFF’s introduction of a project market in 2025. It will open with a keynote on the Vietnamese film market before moving into slate showcases from 10 of the country’s leading studios, including Galaxy Studio, CJ CGV Vietnam, BHD|Vietnam Media Corp., Mockingbird Pictures, HKFilm and 89sGROUP. A dedicated panel series, DANAFF Industry Talks, will examine the dynamics, opportunities and challenges facing Vietnamese and Southeast Asian cinema.
Jérémy Segay, a veteran Asian film industry expert appointed as advisor to the new program, said: “Vietnam’s film sector has reached a stage where a dedicated industry platform is essential, as international interest in understanding its dynamics continues to expand. At the same time, local productions are gaining in confidence, craft and ambition, with clear potential to travel beyond diaspora audiences. For this inaugural edition, we aim to welcome 25 international buyers.”
