Hovde Group Builds Next Phase of Growth Through FinTech and Technology Expansion
Hovde Group, LLC, an investment bank focused on financial institutions, today announced the expansion of its capabilities into FinTech and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), as well as select new strategic sectors, alongside the addition of senior leaders Hussain Ali and Arman Khoshbin.
Hussain Ali will lead the build-out of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) investment banking practice, with a focus on FinTech. Arman Khoshbin will oversee origination and the development of adjacent verticals beyond traditional financial institutions. Additional team hires are expected and will be announced in due course.
The expansion reflects Hovde Group’s focus on high-growth segments at the intersection of financial services and technology. The firm sees strong alignment between technology and financial technology and its existing financial institutions franchise, including depositories and specialty finance, as well as complementary opportunities alongside BankTech Ventures.
Hussain Ali brings more than two decades of experience across technology and financial technology, including prior roles at Barclays and Bank of America, where he advised on transactions across financial software, payments, wealthtech, and data and information services. He has also served as a chief financial officer and led corporate development functions within technology and FinTech companies.
