The district, which stood at 21st place in the State in Secondary School Leaving Certificate pass percentage last year with 94.16%, has moved up to 17th rank this year with the pass percentage of 95.48.Of the 22,310 students appeared for the SSLC public examination held in March last, 21,302 students, including 10,261 boys (93.21%) and 11,041 girls (97.69%) have passed.Of the 283 schools in the district, 138 schools including 38 government schools have achieved cent per cent result.One student in English, 74 students in Mathematics, 439 students in Science and 65 students in Social Science have scored centum.In Tenkasi district, 17,368 students, including 8,284 boys (93.45%) and 9,084 girls (97.65%) have passed and the district has bagged 16th rank in pass percentage in the State. The district, with its pass percentage of 95.60, has bagged 16th rank in the State.Of the 226 high and higher secondary schools in the district, 93 schools including 21 government schools have scored cent per cent result.
