MAKKAH: Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel inspected several healthcare facilities at the holy sites operated by the private sector, reviewing the readiness of health services, operational efficiency, and overall preparedness for the Hajj season.
The inspection aimed to ensure integrated, high-quality healthcare services for pilgrims, in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program, enabling them to perform their rituals in health and peace of mind.
The minister’s tour included Mina Emergency Hospital 2, whose capacity was increased by 100 percent this year to 400 beds.
The project also included the construction of three floors and an annex with a total built-up area of 18,000 sq. meters, in addition to enhanced field connectivity through a dedicated bridge linking the hospital to Mina Emergency Hospital 1 to ensure seamless and integrated services.
AlJalajel also visited Namerah General Hospital, which has a 114-bed capacity, including intensive care and heatstroke beds.
