The grieving father, who spoke to SaharaReporters on Monday, alleged that the police investigation into the death of his daughter had been compromised after his ex-wife, who had custody of the deceased child, was allegedly shielded from proper interrogation.
A Nigerian dad, Mr. Ademola Oni, has accused top police authorities in Lagos State of frustrating investigations into the mysterious death of his 13-year-old daughter, Eunice Olasubomi, alleging interference by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, Moshood Jimoh.
The grieving father, who spoke to SaharaReporters on Monday, alleged that the police investigation into the death of his daughter had been compromised after his ex-wife, who had custody of the deceased child, was allegedly shielded from proper interrogation.
According to Oni, his daughter’s death was first communicated to him not by family members but by strangers through cold text messages and calls on March 26, 2026.
In a petition dated April 14, 2026 and addressed to the AIG Zone 2, Oni’s lawyer, George Nwahajioke, demanded a full investigation into what he described as the “inexplicable death” of the teenager.
