The Unite the Right and pro-Palestine marches through London on Saturday were a visible reminder of the divisions in Britain today.
Now, the Independent Commission on Community and Cohesion, set up after the 2024 riots, is launching a National Conversation on how to change that. They want Britons to answer questions and send a 60-second voice note on how to bring us all closer together.
We spoke to its co-chair, former Chancellor of the Exchequer Sir Sajid Javid, and James Graham, who wrote the play Dear England, about what they’re asking people.
