A forged document purportedly containing the names of screened and qualified aspirants for the senatorial primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has created confusion and political tension ahead of the party’s primary elections.
The controversial list, which circulated across social media platforms and political WhatsApp groups in the state, contained the names of cleared aspirants across the senatorial districts in Kwara.
However, the document, which carried no official signature or authentication, immediately raised suspicion among party members because of several glaring inconsistencies and factual errors.
Among the discrepancies observed in the purported list was the inclusion of a non-existent “Kwara East Senatorial District,” despite the fact that Kwara State officially has only three senatorial districts — Kwara Central, Kwara North, and Kwara South.
