The luxury three-row electric SUV has a driving range of up to 590 miles (950 km) and can recharge in as little as 5 minutes with BYD’s new Blade Battery and Flash Charging system. In China, it starts at under $37,000, but there’s one problem — BYD can’t keep up with demand.

BYD delays flagship Datang electric SUV launch date

BYD is on the offensive. After revealing its new Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging system in March, the company has launched several new vehicles equipped with the new tech, ranging from electric supercars to high-end SUVs and sedans.

At the Beijing Auto Show last month, it was BYD’s three-row electric SUV, the Datang (Great Tang), that stole the spotlight.

After opening preorders at the event, BYD announced the flagship electric SUV received over 30,000 orders in its first 24 hours.
