The African Action Congress (AAC) in Oyo State has accused Governor Seyi Makinde of neglecting security responsibilities, alleging that the state has descended into a “kidnapping zone” following a reported mass abduction of schoolchildren in the Oriire Local Government Area.
In a statement issued by the state chairman, Kayode Babayomi David, the party claimed that more than 35 pupils were abducted during coordinated attacks on several schools, including Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota Community Grammar School, Esiele, and L.A. Primary School.
The group also alleged that two persons were killed during the incident.
