Qatar’s World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) has opened applications for its $1 Million prize for the best solutions to education’s problems.

The organisation offers technical support to the most promising solutions for the 2026-2027 prize.

An evaluation process reduces the applications to a group of finalists who receive USD 100,000 to 125,000 in development funding for a year long programme that includes mentorship, technical support, and guidance finishing at the WISE 13 Summit in 2027 in Doha, Qatar, where an international jury awards a total prize fund of USD 1 million to the best solutions.

The organisers are looking for “practical solutions that deliver measurable improvements in learning” and say entries should demonstrate how learners gain, retain, and apply essential knowledge and skills, leading to better opportunities for education, work, and wellbeing. The priority areas are “reaching marginalised and underserved learners, the effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence and other technologies, using culture and language as a foundation for learning, strengthening core skills such as literacy and numeracy, and supporting students’ mental, emotional, and physical health.”
