Tuition at international schools in Hanoi now reaches more than VND1 billion (about US$38,000) a year for some upper secondary students, while most schools charge around VND300-600 million before meals, bus services and other fees.
Hanoi has more than 10 foreign-invested schools offering primary and secondary education in English under overseas curricula, commonly known as international schools.By mid-May, most had announced tuition for the 10-month 2026-2027 academic year. Fees range from about VND100 million to more than VND1 billion a year, usually rising from kindergarten to secondary level.The United Nations International School of Hanoi charges the highest fees, at VND1.05 billion for grades 11 and 12. Its tuition has increased by tens of millions of dong from last year, and in some cases by more than VND100 million.Dwight School Hanoi also charges more than VND1 billion for some secondary grades. Its primary school tuition is above VND825 million, while kindergarten starts at VND360 million. Both Dwight and UNIS Hanoi follow the International Baccalaureate program.Brighton College Vietnam charges VND997.9 million for its IB Diploma program. At kindergarten level, it has some of the highest fees, reaching nearly VND736 million a year.True North International School is the only school in the group offering a track based on Vietnam’s national curriculum, with tuition of VND200-290 million.
