Princess Anne will visit Greece from May 22 to 24, to participate in ceremonies commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The Princess Royal will first participate in events in Athens related to her role as president of the Mission on Seafarers.
In Crete, she will take part in a service at the RAF Memorial in Maleme to commemorate the airmen of 30 Squadron and 33 Squadron RAF who died during the Battle of Crete in 1941, and attend a Service of Remembrance at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Souda Bay.
The King’s sister will then head to Hania, where she will meet relatives of those who fought in the 1941 battle.
