The APC Adamawa State chapter on Sunday released a statement declaring the emergence of candidates for the forthcoming general elections across the constituencies.
Crisis within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has deepened following the announcement of winners of the party’s House of Representatives primary elections amid allegations that no actual primaries were conducted in the eight federal constituencies.
The APC Adamawa State chapter on Sunday released a statement declaring the emergence of candidates for the forthcoming general elections across the constituencies.
Among those announced by the party were Hon. Aliyu Boya Wakili for Fufore/Song, Hon. James Shuaibu Barka for Gombi/Hong, Nyampa Dauda Zakaria for Michika/Madagali, Engr. Ramatu Bello for Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha, Hon. Kwamoti B. Laori for Numan, Hon. Suleman Ahmed GK for Jada/Ganye/Mayo Belwa/Toungo, Hon. Golfa Mallam for Guyuk/Shelleng and Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad (Y2G) for Yola North/Yola South/Girei Federal Constituencies.
But the announcement has triggered outrage from no fewer than 60 aggrieved aspirants who accused the party leadership of imposing candidates without conducting either direct primaries or adopting a valid consensus arrangement.
