Indian Medical Association’s College of General Practitioners former President and IMA-AP State former President V.S. Prasad on Sunday asked people to adopt healthy lifestyle and do exercises regularly to avoid hypertension which might lead to heart attack, paralysis, kidney failure and other problems. Several organisations conducted rallies and awareness programmers in connection with World Hypertension Day observed on Sunday (May 17, 2026) both in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts.Speaking to media in Vizianagaram, Dr. Prasad said that people of all groups had become victims of hypertension due to changes in working hours, lack of sleep and eating junk fund regularly.Apitoria Pharma Private Limited of Aurobindo Pharma Company organised medical camps on Saturday (May 16) and Sunday (May 17) in its premises of Pydibhimavaram of Srikakulam district to mark Hyper Tension Day. Over 1000 employees attended for the medical tests on the occasion. Apitoria Pharma Company-Pydibhimavaram unit head T. Rajasekhar Reddy, HR and Admin Head P.
