MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano on Saturday defended the recent leadership change in the Senate, saying the chamber needs a “new direction.”
He believes the country’s “present crises” were “not getting enough attention.”
He reiterated that this is contrary to the claims that the move was meant to derail the impeachment process against Vice President Sara Duterte.
