LUCENA CITY, Quezon — A fisherman in the island municipality of Patnanungan, Quezon voluntarily surrendered to police on Saturday, May 16, suspected illegal drugs valued at an estimated P34.5 million.

Col. Romulo Albacea, director of the Quezon Police Provincial Office, said in a report that the fisherman, identified only as “Joven,” 52, appeared at the local police station at around 11:30 a.m. and turned over five sealed plastic bags containing white crystalline substances believed to be illegal drugs.
