The women cocking the firearms in viral video.
Two men linked to firearms seen in a viral social media video have been arrested by the South African Police Service (SAPS), with police also seizing several unlicensed firearms and recovering a hijacked vehicle during the operation.
The arrests follow the circulation of a video showing women allegedly handling firearms recklessly and negligently, prompting Gauteng Crime Intelligence to launch an intensive tracing operation.
Police tracked the suspects to Tembisa, Gauteng, where the two men, aged 21 and 34, were arrested.
Police say the firearms seen in the viral clip were confiscated, and preliminary investigations have revealed that the weapons were unlicensed.
