Three key accused in the online leak and illegal dissemination of the movie Jananayagan have been detained under the Goondas Act as part of the ongoing investigation by the State Cyber Crime Wing.According to officials, the case was registered on April 11 in connection with the piracy and circulation of the film through online platforms and digital channels. The accused detained under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act are S. Prashanth, S. Selvam, and Bala alias Balakrishnan.Police said the preventive detention orders were executed on May 13 following detailed investigation, collection of technical evidence, and assessment of the accused persons alleged continued involvement in organised digital piracy activities.Investigators found that the accused had allegedly played key roles in the theft, illegal processing, circulation, and dissemination of the pirated version of the movie through various online platforms. Officials stated that, considering the gravity of the offence and the organised nature of the piracy network, preventive detention action was initiated to prevent further unlawful activities.
