Officials of the special wing said that, so far, blocking requests had been initiated for more than 300 infringing links, and further identification and takedown measures were in progress. Dedicated teams are tracking social media platforms, websites, and file-sharing services to prevent further circulation of pirated material.

Six persons were arrested in connection with the incident on Sunday and remanded in judicial custody. Further investigation is under way to identify others involved in the crime.

The police said they had taken swift action on a complaint regarding the unauthorised online leak of the film across multiple digital platforms.
