MANILA, Pihlippines – Higher fuel surcharges and air fares weighed on Cebu Pacific’s April passenger traffic as travellers cut back on pricier tickets.
In a disclosure on Friday, the Gokongwei-led airline said passenger traffic slipped 0.7 percent to 2.27 million in April from 2.29 million a year earlier.
Its international operations took a bigger hit, with passenger traffic declining 2.3 percent to 602,000 during the month. Domestic passenger traffic, meanwhile, dipped 0.1 percent to 1.67 million.
