A resident of the FCT, Muhammed Suleiman, confirmed the development in a social media post on Thursday.
The Speaker of the Gwagwalada Area Council Legislative Arm in the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Ibwa, has died following injuries sustained in a ghastly motor accident along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
A resident of the FCT, Muhammed Suleiman, confirmed the development in a social media post on Thursday.
“NNALILLAHI WAINNAILAINA RAJIUN! Speaker of Gwagwalada area council Hon. Mohammed ibwa was rushed to the hospital after the yesterday accident but later passed away, May Almighty Allah forgive him of all his shortcomings and may jannah firdausi be his final abode,” Suleiman wrote in a post seen by SaharaReporters on Facebook.
Daily Trust also reported that the Speaker and his aide, Ibrahim Ibwa, were involved in a fatal accident at Sheda village along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
