Obodoeze stated this as he formally submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms, signalling his intent to clinch the party’s ticket to contest the 2027 governorship election in the state.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship aspirant in Enugu State, Ocho Obodoeze, has called for a single term for Nigerian governors, noting that most state governors perform abysmally in their second term in office.

Obodoeze stated this as he formally submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms, signalling his intent to clinch the party’s ticket to contest the 2027 governorship election in the state.

He was at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Headquarters in Abuja, accompanied by party members and other supporters, where he declared his support for a single term for governors, describing second term as a "big scam."

Answering questions from journalists after submitting his forms, the governorship hopeful maintained that a single term for the governor would increase productivity in governance delivery to the people and save the state the colossal waste, often associated with second term for governors.
