Chief Nnamani made the call during the recent Ofu Obi Rally held at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu, where he stressed that anyone who cannot hold a federal office with pride and confidence has no business aspiring to occupy a state office.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State has expressed support for the call by former Senate President, Chief Ken Nnamani, for a thorough scrutiny of the records and credentials of individuals seeking public office in the 2027 general elections.

Chief Nnamani made the call during the recent Ofu Obi Rally held at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu, where he stressed that anyone who cannot hold a federal office with pride and confidence has no business aspiring to occupy a state office.

According to the ADC in a statement on Wednesday, the former Senate President's remarks have reinforced the need for integrity, transparency and credibility in public service, particularly at a time when questions surrounding the academic records of some political figures continue to generate public concern.

The party noted that the circumstances surrounding the resignation of former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Uche Nnaji, over allegations relating to academic credentials remain fresh in the minds of Nigerians.
