Korean firms S-Oil and Global Standard Technology (GST) have teamed up on a new immersion cooling solution for data centers.

Petrochemical firm S-Oil has developed a cooling fluid, which will be used in immersion cooling equipment produced by GST.

The two firms will test their solution at the Sungkyunkwan University Supercomputing Center in Seoul, which hosts a GPU cluster.

"Through thermal management solutions centered on immersion cooling fluid, we will contribute to improving energy efficiency in the data center industry," an S-Oil spokesperson said. "We will continue to lead the next-generation thermal management market through collaboration with various partners."
