MANILA, Philippines – PAL Express, the regional arm of Philippine Airlines (PAL), is set to take over the maintenance of its own fleet following reports that Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) is discontinuing its line maintenance operations.
Jessie Peñaflor, PAL Express operations manager, said in a social media post on Wednesday night, “PAL Express aircraft maintenance will assume responsibility for the line maintenance of the Philippine Airlines fleet in the Philippines.”

LTP and PAL Express signed a long-term agreement in July 2025 covering the airline Airbus A320 fleet’s maintenance, repair and overhaul support.
