MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Airlines (PAL) received its second Airbus A350-1000, the airline’s flagship aircraft for long-haul routes, after the jet arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Friday.

The delivery is part of PAL’s order for nine Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. Four more are scheduled to arrive this year, while the remaining three are expected in 2027. The flag carrier also holds options for three additional A350-1000s.

PAL said the new aircraft would help increase capacity for long-haul operations, particularly on routes serving North America.

“As demand for international travel continues to grow, this second Airbus A350-1000 will play an important role in enhancing our long-haul operations and elevating the overall passenger experience while supporting the long-term modernization of Philippine Airlines,” PAL President Richard Nutall said.
