Sen. Ronald dela Rosa with Sens. Imee Marcos and Robin Padilla
MANILA, Philippines — The lawyers of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa have filed another manifestation before the Supreme Court to reiterate their urgent request for a temporary restraining order.
This move, if granted, will effectively block any attempt to arrest and surrender the lawmaker to the International Criminal Court (ICC), a day after he was able to flee from the Senate premises.
The law firm of Israelito Torreon on Thursday filed a 117-page manifestation titled “Very Urgent Manifestation of Supervening Events with Reiterative Prayer for Issuance of Temporary Restraining Order, Status Quo Ante Order, and/or Injunctive Reliefs.”
