President Donald Trump is getting hammered by critics on social media after he branded the White House a “shit house” while boasting about his planned $400 million ballroom.
“I was told by my wife you have to act presidential, so don’t use foul language. I won’t, therefore — normally, I would have said it was a shit house, but I don’t want to say that,” Trump said at a dinner for law enforcement officials in the Rose Garden on Monday.
Trump went on to brag about all the renovations he has done since retaking the presidency.
″...This place is tippy top now. Including all the brand new beautiful stone – I paid for it myself – all of the stone, all of the different things we have, and we’re bringing the White House back to shape,” Trump said.
As if right on cue, the president launched into yet another rant about his ballroom, which Senate Republicans have proposed funding at $1 billion in their latest reconciliation bill, despite Trump repeatedly saying the project would use no taxpayer dollars.
