A mega cordon and search operation was conducted in Kurnool city on Saturday (May 02) as part of Operation Vajraprahar with an objective to eradicate ganja and narcotics.

Police teams conducted inspections in the Zohrapuram and Indiramma Housing Colony areas, falling under the jurisdiction of the Kurnool One Town Police Station.

Thorough searches were conducted in the homes, rented accommodations, and vacant buildings associated with individuals previously apprehended for offences involving ganja and other crimes.

As part of these inspections, 10 rowdy-sheeters and two suspect sheeters were interrogated and 10 vehicles lacking proper documentation were seized.

Police personnel also created awareness among the people regarding the adverse health, social, and legal consequences resulting from the consumption of narcotics. They assured that the identities and details of those providing information would be kept strictly confidential.
