A Cordon and search operation as part of 'Operation Vajraprahar' was conducted in Killoguda village of Dumbriguda mandal here in Alluri Sitharama Raju district on Sunday (April 05), on directions of Superintendent of Police Amit Bardar.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Circle Inspector of Araku Police Station L. Himagiri and sub-inspector of Dumbriguda Police Station L. Suresh, with the support of APSP personnel and drone surveillance.
As part of the operation, a total of 82 houses in the village were thoroughly searched. Records of suspicious vehicles were verified, and inspections were conducted at the residences of persons who were previously involved in ganja-related offences.
Following the search operation, an awareness meeting was held with village elders, youth, and women. During the meeting, officials created awareness about the measures being taken by the government and the Police department to curb ganja-related activities, as well as the strict laws being enforced.
The police also warned that stringent legal actions, including the PD Act and the NDPS Act, would be invoked against those involved in such offences. They also informed that properties acquired through illegal means would also be seized.
