April 29 (UPI) -- Firefighters in Colorado responded to an unusual late-night call involving a black bear that was "zonked out in a tree and stuck."

The Colorado Springs Fire Department said on social media Wednesday that Truck 8 and Battalion 2 responded to the wildlife call.

"While you were sleeping Truck 8 got a call from our friends at Colorado Parks and Wildlife for a bear 'zonked out in a tree and stuck' (their words) on Crooked Arrow Lane," the post said.

The sleepy bear was removed from the tree and loaded into a CPW vehicle for safe relocation.

"We're happy to report the bear was healthy but a little sleepy when we said our goodbyes," the post said.
