Vedanta Power on Monday (April 27, 2026) said it has completed the disbursement of compensation to the families of those killed and injured in the explosion at their power plant in Chhattisgarh on April 14.
The incident left 25 people dead and several persons injured even as the company management and chairman Anil Agarwal are facing a probe in a police case of causing death due to negligence.

In a statement, the company said it has provided financial assistance of ₹35 lakh each to the families of the deceased, while ₹15 lakh has been disbursed to those injured. The compensation has already been released to all 35 affected individuals and families, it added.
