Even though I know that wearing SPF is essential, that doesn’t mean I love the feeling of rubbing in goopy, greasy lotion sunscreen. Thankfully, there are now plenty of face sunscreens on the market with lightweight, fast-absorbing formulas, but for body sunscreens it’s a bit of a different story. I thought I was stuck either slathering ooze-y lotion all over my body, or relying on a spray that might provide uneven coverage. Enter: Sun Bum’s roll-on sunscreen, the answer to all my SPF prayers.
I first learned about this nifty little sunscreen bottle from HuffPost Shopping’s managing editor of commerce Emily Ruane when it went on sale last year. Ruane is a mom of two young girls, and recommended the Sun Bum roll-on for its ease of use with children. “I borrowed this from a friend on a scorching park day and marveled at the smooth and thorough application as I used the rolling tip to rub sunscreen all over my daughters’ faces and arms,” she wrote. “It’s not easy to put SPF on wiggly preschoolers and this make it a little more seamless. I actually bought a similar roll-on product from another drugstore sun care brand a few weeks back when my local Walgreens was sold out of the Sun Bum, and it was definitely nowhere near as functional as this stuff.”
