Arrangements are under way for the valedictory of the centenary celebrations of Andhra University, with the district administration and university authorities working in close coordination.

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore reviewed the preparations along with AU Vice-Chancellor G.P. Raja Sekhar at a joint meeting of district and university officials held at the AU Senate Hall on Friday (April 17, 2026). Joint Collector G. Vidyadhari also took part. The meeting covered logistical and administrative arrangements.

State Education Secretary Kona Sasidhar and Commissioner of Collegiate Education Bharat Gupta, who joined virtually, asked officials to ensure that all arrangements were made in line with a detailed checklist.

The Vice-Chancellor said the valedictory would be held at the AU Engineering College grounds on April 27 from 4 p.m., with an estimated 25,000 attendees. Nodal officers have been appointed for various responsibilities.
