The overall pass percentage of government school students pursuing Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus in Class X examination in Puducherry has increased by 18.54 per cent in 2025-26.

The results published by the CBSE on Wednesday (April 16, 2026) showed that of the 5,594 students who appeared for the Board examination, 5582 students have passed the exam. The pass percentage which was 81.25 per cent last year, has gone up to 99.79 per cent this year, an official release said.

While the overall pass percentage was 100 per cent in the regions of Mahe and Yanam, Puducherry and Karaikal regions recorded pass percentage of 99.82 and 99.56 respectively. As many as 115 government schools of the total 122, have secured 100 per cent results.

“The overall pass percentage in the academic year 2025-26 has increased by 18.54 %. In Puducherry alone, 79 government schools have secured 100 per cent results,” the release said.
