Cuddalore district registered an overall pass percentage of 94.22 in the State Board Class X public examinations.A total of 32,600 students — 17,214 boys and 15,386 girls — appeared for the exam in which girls scored better with 96.53% compared to the performance by boys with 92.16%.As many as 204 schools achieved cent per cent results — 86 government schools, 118 aided and matriculation self-financing schools.Villupuram district was placed at the 36th position with an overall pass percentage of 87.77.Of the 23,381 students who wrote the exam, a total of 20,522 passed. This year, 103 government schools obtained centum results.Kallakurichi district secured an overall pass percentage of 93.43. The pass percentage of boys in Kallakurichi was 91.5 while that of girls was 95.4. Out of the 228 schools in the district, 62 recorded a 100% pass rate.PuducherryThe 180 private schools in Puducherry and Karaikal, under the Tamil Nadu State Board, have recorded a pass percentage of 97.83 in the SSLC (Class 10) examination held in March/April 2026.A press release from the Directorate of School Education said of the 8,081 students — 4,230 boys and 3,851 girls — who appeared for the exams, 7,906 students, including 3,806 girls, passed. The pass rate among boys was 96.93%, while girls recorded a pass percentage of 98.83.According to data, private schools in Puducherry region clocked a pass rate of 98.03%, while private schools in Karaikal registered a pass rate of 96.47%.While 119 candidates scored centum across subjects, the highest centum scorers (69) were in science, followed by mathematics (34) and French (8).In a notable feat, the Anandha Rangapillai Government Special Higher Secondary School for Visually Handicapped and Hearing Impaired in Puducherry has recorded 100% results in the SSLC examination, the press note said.Overall, the highest pass rate of 98.52% was recorded by girls in private schools in Puducherry.In all, 113 private schools recorded 100% pass rate — 95 in Puducherry and 18 in Karaikal.
