After acquiring more than 100 acting credits under her belt, Nicole Kidman has revealed a new career path she’s embarking on.

The Oscar winner said she is becoming a death doula after being inspired to take on the real-life role following the death of her 84-year-old mother, Janelle Kidman, in September 2024.

“As my mother was passing, she was lonely, and there was only so much the family could provide,” Kidman, 58, said while speaking at the University of San Francisco’s War Memorial Gym on Saturday as part of the school’s Silk Speaker Series, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

“Between my sister and I, we have so many children and our careers and our work, and wanting to take care of her because my father wasn’t in the world anymore, and that’s when I went, ‘I wish there was these people in the world that were there to sit impartially and just provide solace and care,’” she continued.

The “Babygirl” leading lady shares four children with her exes Tom Cruise and Keith Urban while her younger sister Antonia Kidman, 55, has six kids.
