Following directions from the Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD), the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) organised ‘Happy Sunday’ programmes across all zones.
Various activities such as sports, yoga, dance, singing, mimicry, summer awareness programs, and cultural and recreational events were organised at the GVMC parks, open spaces, Beach areas, community halls, function halls, and other public places across the city. Many Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), students, senior citizens, walker’s associations, Self-Help Group (SHG) members, public representatives, and people from various sections of society, participated.
