You’d think “Show me the money!” would be the line from “Jerry Maguire” that both President Donald Trump and acting Attorney General Todd Blanche would resonate the most with, but Joe Scarborough had a different take.

During a press conference earlier this week, Blanche, who previously served as Trump’s personal attorney and is currently filling in for the recently fired Pam Bondi, was asked whether he’d want to be appointed AG full time, and his answer was pretty thirsty.

“If President Trump chooses to keep me as acting, that’s an honor,” Blanche said. “If he chooses to nominate me, that’s an honor. If he chooses to nominate somebody else and I go back to being the DAG, that’s an honor.” Blanche then said if Trump decides to nominate somebody else for the attorney general gig, he’ll be totally cool with that as well, and will tell him, “Thank you very much. I love you, sir.”

Scarborough found Blanche’s remarks about Trump so sycophantic that during Thursday’s episode of “Morning Joe,” the host couldn’t help but compare them to the famous scene from Cameron Crowe’s 1996 film in which Dorothy (Renée Zellweger) and Jerry (Tom Cruise) profess their of love for one another — and Scarborough’s relentless mockery eventually derailed the entire show into a fit of giggles.
