In Mayiladuthurai segment, 20 candidates are in the fray. The main contenders include K. Kasiraman (Naam Tamilar Katchi), Y.N. Jamal Mohamed Younoos (Indian National Congress), A. Pazhanisamy (Pattali Makkal Katchi), and S.S. Haroon Rashid (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam).
In Sirkazhi, 10 candidates, including R. Subash (Naam Tamilar Katchi), R. Senthil Selvan (DMK) and S. Gopinath (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam), are contesting.
In Poompuhar constituency, Nivedha M. Murugan (DMK), S. Pounraj (AIADMK), and J. Vijayalayan (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam) are among the 13 in fray.
