Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu has vowed to travel across the North Andhra region to educate the people about the “atrocities committed by the YSRCP government and to highlight the developmental strides being made under the NDA dispensation.”
Addressing the media at the Secretariat on Thursday, Mr. Atchannaidu, launching a scathing attack on former Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, described the 2019–2024 period as an era of total destruction.
“The current NDA government has put the State back on track in 22 months of assuming power with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he asserted.
He described Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ‘MAVIGUN’ (Machilipatnam-Vijayawada-Guntur) corridor proposal as a joke and a desperate attempt to incite regional conflicts, much like the failed three-capital plan.
Mr. Atchannaidu also alleged that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had always fostered divisions among the regions and communities, and continued to make inconsistent statements. Leaders of the YSRCP were also ridiculing the MAVIGUN plan, he said, and accused the YSRCP president of targeting individuals, institutions, and women through political discourse.
