Members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday (August 1, 2025) strongly criticised YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for his statements during his recent visit to Nellore. They also refuted his allegations of vindictive politics by the NDA government and asserted that it was the YSRCP regime during 2019-23 that introduced a culture of political vendetta.

Referring to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s claims that former Minister Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy had manhandled current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during their college days, Anakapalli MP C.M. Ramesh said that Mr. Jagan was deliberately spreading false propaganda to create unrest in the State. He asserted that the allegation is a blatant lie and emphasised that the people of Andhra Pradesh are well aware of the truth.

False cases being filed against YSRCP leaders for questioning govt., alleges Jagan

“If Naidu had any intentions of revenge, he could have acted during his three earlier terms as Chief Minister,” Mr. Ramesh stated.

The MP further said that Andhra Pradesh had never witnessed such vindictive politics in its history until the YSRCP came to power in 2019. “From Srikakulam to Anantapur, there were targeted attacks on opposition leaders,” he said.
