A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his father and uncle in southwest Delhi’s Mohan Garden area. The incident came to light on April 4 after a PCR call at 6.55 p.m. reported that two persons were found dead in a house under suspicious circumstances.

The deceased were identified as Devender Kumar (50) and his brother Amit Kumar (48). Devender’s son, Ishwar, was initially found missing.

According to the police, the room where the bodies were found was ransacked, and liquor bottles were scattered at the scene. “Preliminary inquiry indicated that a quarrel had taken place after consumption of alcohol. Ishwar had been absconding after the incident. He was later apprehended from the C-1 block of Mohan Garden,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Kushal Pal Singh said.

A crime team and forensic experts inspected the scene and collected evidence. The bodies were then sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for post-mortem examination. “As per the post-mortem reports, the deaths were caused due to internal injuries sustained during physical assault. A case has been registered at the Uttam Nagar police station under Section 103 (1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita,” the DCP added.
