The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation officials, on Saturday, held a review meeting with officials of its town planning wing, focussing on expediting the disposal of pending applications and strengthening enforcement measures across its jurisdiction.
The meeting was chaired by Commissioner G. Srijana and attended by senior town planning and other concerned officials. The review assessed progress on a range of activities, including building and occupancy permissions under the BuildNow system, court and contempt cases, public grievances, and instances of unauthorised constructions and encroachments.
During the meeting, the Commissioner directed officials to ensure that all applications, grievances and legal matters are addressed within stipulated timelines, stressing the need for transparency and accountability in civic administration.
Highlighting the issue of illegal constructions and encroachments, the Commissioner instructed officials to take prompt action and implement phase-wise removal drives. These efforts should be carried out in coordination with multiple departments, including the police, urban biodiversity division, engineering wing and other relevant agencies, she said.
