The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) removed 243 encroachments across 16.55 km of roads, footpaths and public spaces as part of its weekly ‘Walk Free’ encroachment removal drive conducted across its three zones on Saturday (August 22).The Quthbullapur Zone recorded the highest number of removals, with 122 encroachments cleared across seven km. Of these, 15 were removed in Chintal, 18 in Jeedimetla, 12 in Kompally, 20 in Gajularamaram, 16 in Nizampet, 18 in Dundigal and 23 in Medchal.In the Serilingampally Zone, CMC teams cleared 108 encroachments across 5.75 km. Narsingi accounted for 20 removals, Patancheru 25, Ameenpur 13, Miyapur 15 and Serilingampally 35. In the Kukatpally Zone, 13 encroachments were removed across 3.8 km in Moosapet.CMC officials said drives on other identified stretches in the remaining circles had to be rescheduled due to the non-availability of police personnel.
