It's been more than four years since the troubled teens of East Highland High School were last on our screens and now the long-awaited show returns on 12 April for a third season.

The latest trailer sees the characters leave the classroom behind and follows them in early adulthood. It picks up five years after the last episode and promises more drama, drugs and betrayal.

The HBO series starring Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi follows a group of young adults navigating sex and drug addiction, love, friendship and trauma.

In December, showrunner Sam Levinson said he feels "strongly this is our best season yet".

In the first trailer that dropped in January, Rue, played by Zendaya, finds herself in trouble with Laurie, the notorious drug dealer from the previous season.
