“Euphoria,” the hugely popular and sometimes controversial HBO series, will finally return for a third season in April after years of production delays, roadblocks and alleged behind-the-scenes drama that left the future of the show in doubt.

“Euphoria” will start airing its third season in April, HBO said Wednesday afternoon, though it’s unclear which day it will start and how many episodes the season will run for.

The April premiere will end an abnormally long wait between seasons—the new season will premiere more than four years after season two ended, and nearly seven years after the first season premiered.
