Preethi Hospital in Madurai has organised a free screening for women - Mangaiyar welfare mega festival - in the month of March.

Hema Sivakumar, Managing Director of the hospital, addressing the press here on Saturday, said, “With the goal that the healthiest woman in the family can create a healthy generation, the hospital, organised a 12-day free mega screening for women aged 2- to 60 years.”

More than 1,200 women took part in the free health check up and treatment programme, she said.

“Close to 250 patients were examined and provided specialist treatment. More than 10 experienced obstetrician and gynaecologists, orthopaedics specialists, cardiologists, general physicians and surgeons, and dentists performed free check ups at the camp,” Dr. Hema Sivakumar said.

Every weekend (Friday–Sunday, 9 a.m – 4 p.m.), the hospital offered an all-inclusive women’s health clinic. From advanced cancer and cardiac screenings, including mammograms and cervical scans, to personalised weight loss plans with expert dietitians and physiotherapists, they provided holistic care under one roof, she said.
