The Powerball jackpot rose to $147 million with a cash value of $66.6 million ahead of the Wednesday, March 25, drawing.

According to Powerball, the jackpot has been hit almost 200 times since the lottery's inception in 1992. As of today, 48 U.S. lotteries participate in the Powerball game, with five states not offering it: Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.

There has been only one Powerball winner in 2026 so far, with the latest lucky player taking home the jackpot on March 2.

The lucky player from Arkansas won a $251 million jackpot with a one-time lump-sum amount of $118 million. The win was the second-largest Powerball win in the history of Arkansas, behind the $1.817 billion Powerball win in December 2025.
